APPOINTMENTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE IN OCTOBER. PLEASE SEE DETAILS BELOW.
I am currently on a training course which was arranged at short notice. The full timetable for this training has not been finalised, but it is likely to extend to the end of October. I hope to be retuning to a more ‘normal roster’ in November. As you will appreciate, I am fortunate to have this opportunity to return to training, both following over a years absence (sick leave) and in the current difficult climate.
It is important that I am flexible this month and remain available for training. This means that I will not be offering medical appointments until November at the earliest.
The CAA exemption to extend medical validities is still in force. I am including the whole link below if you wish to check it out in detail, however the relevant summary for Class 1 holders is in bold type below.
The validity periods of those certificates that expire on or after 1 September 2020, but before 22 November 2020, are extended for a maximum of 45 days but no later than 31 December 2020, whichever is the sooner.
Apologies to those of you whom I had hoped to accommodate with an October appointment, but these are ever changing times.
If you wish to book with an alternative AME, then I would be happy to recommend:

Dear AME Colleagues,
The CAA and DfT are working on an extension of the existing self-declaration exemption(s) and should be published in the coming days.
We have already received some questions about the exemptions for the upcoming AME videoconferences, which hopefully will be answered by the above GM and the 2 planned sessions themselves.
With kind regards,
